Jump-start Jet Program

Today we were honored to host a group of fifty-two students with the Jump Start Jet Program in Covington / Coffee County.

Students were able to learn about our about history and potential aviation jobs from Airport Director Jed Blackwell. Tour our Enterprise Rescue / PHI Life Flight Helicopter and hear from the local flight crew. Special guest speakers Mr. Chris Thomasson with Covington County Schools and Mr. Micah Garner with Southern Independent Bank discussed workforce development and opening checking accounts, applying for loans.

The morning was topped off with a great lunch at the Airport Blade ‘N’ Wing Cafe that included grilled ribs, pork chops, Mac n Cheese, fries, baked beans, garlic rolls, Oreo delight and soft serve ice cream.
